Available Courses

  • The Virtual Workshop DVD offers you a seat in Family Solutions' nationally recognized workshops. The DVD is comprised of an actual Family Solutions workshop taught by FSI founder, Rob Guise, an AAMFT Approved Supervisor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Comprised of roughly, 10 + hours of teaching, this Virtual Workshop Series takes a traditional FSI Intensive 2-Day Workshop and adds another full day of teaching with an embedded PowerPoint Presentation.

    The Virtual Workshop is not part of the eStudy Program unless you choose to upgrade to the Intensive eStudy Program. By subscribing to the Virtual Workshop, you are able to access the workshop as many times as you need through the last day of the AMFTRB test window active when purchased. Using any computer, exam candidates can work in privacy and at their own pace, to develop specific test-taking skills.   • The 2009 Edition of the Study Guide is a 600+ pages pdf file which concisely organizes the information most likely to be tested by the AMFTRB. The book presents this large body of knowledge in both a summary and more detailed form, emphasizing the most important concepts needed for the exam, in a very "user friendly" format.

  • Family Solution's full PowerPoint presentation intially created for an AAMFT National Conference Presentation ( a 4-Day Institute) and now used at the backbone for the FSI Intensive 2-Day Workshops.

  • Increasingly, Family Solutions is noting the significance of HIPAA in the practice of MFT. This HIPAA course offers detailed explanation of the major HIPAA related issues and concerns most likely to be tested on the AMFTRB Exam. This eStudy course covers in detail, each of the relevant aspect of HIPAA. A suggested course of study is provided, followed by a 25 question exam. Each question is followed by detailed discussion on right and wrong answers.

  • Course Intention: The purpose of this course is to examine the foundational theories of family therapy and to explore their historical development. In doing so, the purpose of the course is also to prepare students for the Association of Marital and Family Therapy Regulatory Board’s (AMFTRB) examination for licensure as Marriage and Family Therapists in Washington State.

    Learning Competencies:

    By successfully completing the requirements for this course, participants will be able to:

    1) Understand the foundational theoretical models of family therapy.

    2) Describe, compare, and contrast the foundational theoretical models of family therapy.

  • An in-depth study of family systems theory. Emphasis on the major schools of thought included in a systems analysis of the family and current issues and ideas within family systems discourse.
